John Jarratt

A bit pretentious to say this but I produce artwork because I feel I must. Painting and drawing is at times boring, difficult, exasperating, disappointing but also, immensely satisfying, enjoyable and FUN.

During my career as a commercial artist I felt I would happily do the work for nothing just to be doing it. Nowadays I have a go at wide range of subjects, dealing with those I don't care for as a challenge. It's amazing how often those are the best to be doing.
